Description:
The snout is extremely short. Mouth is slanted,featuring a single row of upper jaw teeth that remain visible even when the mouth is closed. It has 13–18 rays in its anal fin. It displays narrow wavy stripes in pale blue and yellow, along with various faint darker bars on its sides. A black spot is present at the upper corner of the gill opening.
