It is distinguished by a four-plated wall forming a low conical to cylindroconic shape. Its parietes (wall plates) are clearly defined with wall tubes arranged in one or more rows. The radii are broad and extend across the parietes. Base of the barnacle is made of calcium carbonate. The scutum features prominent lateral depressor muscle crests, while rostral depressor muscle crests may be present or absent. The joint between the scutum and tergum is notably complex.
