The coloration of the shell is greenish with brownish-grey, and the external surface of the operculum is also brownish-grey, while the internal surface is purplish-grey. The scutum is triangular and larger than the tergum. Its external surface has horizontal striations, and the occluding margin has very shallow teeth. The mandible has four large teeth, with the first tooth having three small spines. The lower margin of the mandible is pectinate. The tergum is narrow with a beaked apex, and it has a long, sharp spur. The shell consists of four fused and inseparable plates. The parietes have eight rows of multi-tubiferous parietal tubes. The external surface of the shell has longitudinal lines running from the base to the apex, while the internal surface is smooth and white with purplish-grey striations near the aperture. The orifice of the shell is rhomboidal, and the basis is membranous. The maxillule is notched and has two large setae above the notch and eleven small setae below it. The labrum has four large teeth on each side of the notch.
