Description:
The shell is thin, elongate, laterally compressed, and ovate-rhomboidal. This means that it is not thick, it is long and narrow, it is wider than it is tall, and it is oval-shaped with a pointed end at each end. The hinge is narrow, meaning that it is not wide. It has 3 cardinal teeth in each valve, but no lateral tooth. The posterior cardinal tooth of the right valve is separated by a gap from the median cardinal tooth. The pallial sinus is well-developed, meaning that it is deep and wide. The dorsal side of the pallial line is bordered by small scars. The internal margins are smooth, meaning that they do not have any bumps or ridges.
