Description:
The plants are brown, with a color that ranges from light to medium brown. They have a flattened, fan-like shape when they are young, and their holdfast is comprised of intertwined rhizoids. These plants grow on the surface of rocks. The thallus is flat and leaf-like, with thin and see-through fronds. The fronds divide irregularly into laciniae, and there is no central midrib. As you move upwards, the branches widen. Hairs are present, forming more or less distinct concentric lines across the thallus, aligning on both sides. The reproductive structures are notably arranged in wavy bands.
