Description:
The shell is moderately large, light-weight, and almost cylindrical in shape. It has straight lateral margins and slightly produced anterior and posterior extremities, especially at the posterior margin of the outer lip. The dorsum is moderately swollen and does not have a mantle groove. The ventral side is flattish. The aperture is narrow, and the siphonal canal is deep. The teeth are finer and pyriform. Both lips have numerous linear teeth that do not extend far into the aperture. The dorsum is cream to coffee in color, banded with golden-brown shades. The base, margins, and extremities are chocolate-brown to black, often with a translucent glossy bluish-grey hue. The interstices of the teeth are white or cream.
