Description:
There is no hydroecium present. The somatocyst is slender and elongated, curving and reaching up to the middle of the nectosac on the dorsal side. The sub-ostial lamellae, or mouth-plates, appear as two basolateral wings due to a deep division between them. Reserve buds of both the anterior and posterior nectophores are often observed. The nectosac features two distinct constrictions at right angles. There are two dorsal and two lateral teeth surrounding the ostium. The lateral radial canals create an extended loop from the base to the apex before connecting to the ring-canal. The mouth-plates are long and substantial, appearing as two baso-ventral wings with thickened vertical pads. The hydroecium is a shallow open groove, and the stem is long, carrying numerous cormidia.
