Description:
The mouth-plates in Sulculeolaria chuni are relatively smaller when compared to other species, and they have a rounded shape with a slight overlap. The somatocyst varies in length, ranging from 1.67 mm to 4.0 mm, and it can be thin or take on a club-like shape, closely positioned next to the nectosac. In some smaller nectophores, there is no commissural canal, but it is present in others. Ostial teeth are not found in this species.
