Description:
When their breeding areas overlap, this species can be distinguished from the less frequent Black-bellied Tern by its greater size, heavier body, and full black crown and pale gray wings. An incomplete black “mask” covers the juvenile’s mottled brownish-gray back, while the non-breeding adult’s head is covered in patches of black rather than a whole cap.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
It was found near Nijhum Dwip area. This tern occurs along the coasts and rivers all over the country
