Description:
The body is oval and flat, featuring weakly ctenoid scales on both surfaces. The upper jaw is slightly longer. There are numerous short tentacles on the side without eyes. The lips lack fringes and there are two nostrils—a small one in front of the lower eye and a tubular one in front of it. Nostrils on the eyeless side are hidden. The dorsal and anal rays are unbranched, and both pelvic fins are present. There is a black block at the center of the pectoral fin.
