Colonies exhibit an encrusting form or take the shape of low mounds, reaching up to one meter in diameter. The corallites are polygonal and have a diameter ranging from 2 to 4 millimeters. Septa are neatly arranged, numbering 30-35 at the wall and they fuse in orderly fan-like groups with 10-15 connecting with the columella. The walls feature a fine ridge along their tops. The coloration is typically pale tan or may have dark centers with white corallite walls.
