Description:
It has deep body. Mouth is terminal and lower jaw is longer. There are two dorsal fins which are seperated by one another. Pectoral fin is knife-shaped. It has deeply forked caudal fin. In terms of coloration, Body silvery above and below. Body sides are barred with several crossbands of dark or golden. The lateral line is anteriorly arched and straight posteriorly.
