Description:
The species displays a brown dorsal surface adorned with white spots and a cream-colored belly. It has a total of 11-12 dorsal soft rays and 11-12 anal soft rays with no dorsal or anal spines. Body is cigar-shaped, rounded, or slightly compressed. The head is pointed and flattened with a rounded snout. Origin of the dorsal fin is closer to the adipose fin origin than to the tip of the snout and the anal fin origin is closer to the tail base than to the operculum. The overall coloration is brown-gray on the upper part and creamy below, featuring 8-10 indistinct darker spots along the sides.
