Description:
Its tiny holdfast generates one to several cylindrical stipes, each with multiple narrow blades that can reach a maximum length of 6 cm. These stipes are usually 0.2–0.3 cm in diameter. Reproductive organs and pneumatocysts—air bladders that propel tissues upward into the water column—are also visible. Plant length ranges from 10 to 30 cm.
