Description:
The shell is sizable, weighty, and robust, taking on a conical shape with a length approximately equal to its width. The apex tapers to a point, and the initial whorls of the early spire exhibit noticeable tubercles just above the sutures. In larger specimens, the body whorl is smooth, with a concave upper portion, while the lower part protrudes, forming an acutely rounded and thickened periphery. The base is flat and marked with numerous shallow spiral ridges. The umbilicus is excavated and partially filled with a spiral ridge along the columella. The aperture is square in shape, broader than it is tall
