Description:
The fish has a rounded and deep body, with a moderately long and pointed snout. The head profile is steep and slightly convex, and the lateral line is complete. The dorsal fin has 11 spines and 21–23 soft rays, while the anal fin has 3 spines and 17–18 soft rays. The caudal fin is rounded. In terms of coloration, the body is white with two broad dark brown bars. The first extends into the dorsal fin, and the second extends into both the dorsal and anal fins. There is a white interspace in the middle of the body, broader ventrally. Additionally, there is a dark brown bar from high on the nape through the eye, ending at the lower edge of the preopercle. A white-edged black spot, about the size of the eye, is present on the soft portion of the dorsal fin in the upper posterior part of the second brown bar.
