Description:
The plants are of a pale green hue and tend to form a fuzzy layer that spreads loosely, entangling with other algae. Alternatively, they can grow individually in clusters on small surfaces like pads, stones, and rocks. Their filaments are simple, with infrequent lateral extensions, and they consistently feature one to several tapering rhizoidal branches. The cells are cylindrical in shape, and each cell contains either one or two pyrenoids.
