Description:
This species possesses 13 dorsal spines, 10 soft rays in the dorsal fin, 3 anal spines, and 6-7 soft rays in the anal fin. Its coloration is characterized by a reddish-brown hue with alternating broad and thin dark bars, interspersed with white. A dark spot is present on the cheek, and a small tentacle above the eye may exhibit banding. Additionally, the upper half of the pectoral fins features large dark spots on the inner surface.
