Description:
A pale, medium-sized petrel with black edges to the white underwing, a dark crown, a white forehead, and white underparts. Observe the unique, black “M” on the gray upperparts as it’s in flight. In calm weather, easy, buoyant flying that frequently ascends and descends towards the ocean’s surface. Wheels steeply and high under severe weather.
