Description:
The dorsal fin has X + 14 rays while the anal fin has III + 14 rays. There are 20 rays in the pectoral fin and the caudal fin has 18 rays. There are 22 gill rakers on the lower limb and 7 on the upper limb of the first arch. The lateral line series has 87 scales with 44 below the lateral line and 10 above it. Yellowish patches appear on the distal margin of membranes between dorsal fin rays. The pectoral fin is reddish-yellow, while the pelvic fin spine and rays are whitish. A black spot is present on the membranes at the base of the pelvic fin. Along the lateral line, there are 11 small dark spots. The anal fin exhibits a uniformly deeper red tint than the dorsal fin and there is a narrow black margin on the posterior of the caudal fin.
