Description:
The fish is characterized by a long-based spiny dorsal fin, succeeded by a high, short-based soft-rayed portion. Its body is blue, and it features a vibrant yellow tail. There are variable amounts of yellow in the dorsal and anal fins. Both juvenile and adult individuals exhibit similar coloration.
