Description:
It has 1st dorsal fin with 7 spines, the 2nd dorsal fin with 1 spine and 12–13 soft rays as well as the anal fin with 2 spines. They also exhibit villiform teeth on the vomer and 66–71 pored lateral line scales. The head and body are greyish-black dorsally and yellow ventrally with the anterior parts of the 1st and 2nd dorsal fins appearing greyish-black. Posterior margin of the caudal fin is yellow while other parts are greyish-black. Pectoral and pelvic fins are uniformly vivid yellow.
