Description:
The palatine teeth are robust and peg-like which arranged in two distinct patches on each side and positioned one behind the other with the anterior patches being notably smaller and ovate. The anal fin has 14–18 rays. The dorsal surface and sides are bluish-black, while the lower part is a dull white. The tips of the fins are bordered with black.
