Description:
The fin formula is D VIII-X+I 31-37, A II 6-7, P I 17-18, V I 5. The fish has a slender body with a prominent terminal mouth. The dorsal and second anal spines are relatively weak, and there are 10-12 gill rakers on the lower arm of the first arch. The lateral line has 92-95 scales, and the caudal fin is pointed. The body color is brownish, becoming lighter on the flanks and belly, while the fins exhibit a yellow hue with dark margins in the dorsal and anal fins.
