Description:
When the plant is young, its medium- to dark-brown, fan-shaped blades are cut laterally into wedge-shaped pieces. Clusters of thallus that resemble leaves, with faint banding if present and calcification if light on lower surface. fan-shaped, three, sometimes four, layer blades that are 4–12 cm broad. outside the enrollment margin. There are concentric lines on both sides of the blades where surface hairs are either absent or uncommon. Rhizoidal base matted and twisted. Midway between the hair bands on the upper surface are fertile bands in concentric zones or isolated sori. the 4–12 cm tall plants. Color range: golden to dark brown.
