Description:
The shell is large, thick, solid, and has an elliptical to pear-shaped outline. The spire is concealed, and the surface is smooth. The outline is globular, and the anterior and posterior extremities are short and stout. The outer lip is irregularly dentate (toothed) and folded inwards. The aperture is wide, with an extended posterior canal. The columella is smooth, and the outer lip is coarsely ridged. The head has two tentacles and eyes at their outer bases. The color of the surface is glossy white, and the interior is chocolate-brown.

St. Martin’s island and in the Bay of Bengal
