Description:
The overall body coloration of the fish is grey, with yellow or white posterior margins on the dorsal, anal, and caudal fins. Additionally, there is a distinctive black “ear” spot. Meristic characteristics for specimens o include a dorsal fin with XIII spines (11-12 soft rays), an anal fin with II spines (11-12 soft rays), 17 pectoral fin rays, and 17-18 lateral line scales.
