The shell is elongated, robust, and weighty, featuring a small, rectangular aperture. The outer lip is straight and narrows toward the upper part of the aperture. The columella is smooth and aligns with the lip at its base. The exterior of the shell displays 18-25 broad and closely spaced vertical ribs, with spiral grooves in the spaces between them. The suture is marked by punctate spiral grooves. The shell is predominantly white but is adorned with sizable, irregular blotches in purple-brown on each whorl, and there’s an orange band at the base of the body whorl.
