Description:
Snout is short and bluntly angular. Mouth with long labial furrows of similar length. Teeth are flattened and smooth. First dorsal fin origin behind pectoral fin insertions. Second dorsal fin origin well behind pelvic fin free rear tips but before anal fin. Caudal fin with semi-curved lower lobe. Second dorsal fins and caudal fin sometimes with black tip.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Bottom dwelling in inshore and offshore waters, also on coral reefs. Bay of Bengal.
