Description:
Shell medium to large; reasonably elevated and sharp spire, strong spiral ridges, varices with larger and shorter spines, some curving posteriorly, outer surface sculptured by 3 continuous varices. Body whole large, rounded, sculptured by smooth circular and longitudinal ridges, short and sharp spines on the varices. Aperture large and lenticular and sulcus broad and deep, outer lip smooth anteriorly, detached and 3 rounded and spinous varices. Long siphonal canal. Color: Body surface light brown, aperture white, margin deep chocolate, columella white.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Bay of Bengal, occasionally in Cox’s Bazar and on St. Martin’s island
