Shell large and club-shaped. Spire pointed. Whorls moderately large, spire acute, consists of 6-8 rounded whorls, angulated because of prominent primary cord, each whorl with 3 spinose varices; suture low. Body whorl large with 3 spiny varices; shoulder rounded, largest 3 spines at the shoulder varices on the outer lip; many prominent lateral and obscure longitudinal spiral cords; 6-7 medium spines on the long siphonal canal; spines from the base to the anterior end of the canal progressively diverging in direction. Sculpture consists of spiral and axial cords and ribs; 3 rounded varices bearing spines at the intersections of the spiral cords; spines closed, solid, and curved. Aperture rectangular or roughly elliptical, outer lip crenulated, lirate inside; inner ridge long and margin posteriorly adherent but detached anteriorly. Siphonal canal extended and narrowly open; nucleus of the operculum sub-terminal. Colour. outer surface creamy white or brown; aperture and columella porcelaneous white; spines body colour.
