Description:
These creatures resemble Muraenesox bagio, with the distinction of having a longer snout. The dorsal fin has 66–78 rays and there are 40–47 lateral line pores before the level of the anus. In terms of color, they exhibit shades ranging from light to dark greyish-brown above with a lighter shade below and both the dorsal and anal fins feature narrow black edges.
