Description:
Shell moderately large, spire high and elevated, body whorl expanded. Aperture oval and small, outer lip with strong varix and seven pairs of elongate teeth on the interior, columella lirate, siphonal canal more elongate than in C. pileare. Sculptured with nodulose spiral ribs and fine threads in the interspaces, with strong varices, three to five large knobs between the varices on the shoulder. Ash coloured with red markings and indistinct cream bands, aperture orange yellow, outer lip and teeth white. Varix dark gray and white.
