Description:
The rostrum is S-shaped and has 7 to 9 dorsal teeth. The distal half or more of the tubercle is toothless. There is an epigastric tooth present. The longitudinal suture is brown and long, reaching two-thirds of the carapace length. he shrimp has a pale body with wide, dark brown almost black transverse bands. The rostrum is curved and has 8-9 dorsal teeth. The epigastric tooth is feeble or absent. The telson has 3-4 pairs of movable lateral spines.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Barisal, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Khulna, Kutubdia, Moheshkhali, Patuakhali, Sonadia and the Sundarbans.
