The pneumatophore is typically shaped like an oval or a pear. The nectosome is small, often reduced to just one primary functional nectophore, occasionally with a second smaller functional nectophore. In younger nectophores, there is a long, slanting pedicel and a smaller nectosac. In larger, mature nectophores, the pedicel is shorter, and the nectosac is wider. The tentacles carry numerous tentilla, are enclosed, tricornuate, and have 7 or 8 spiral coils in the cnidoband. The palpons form a crown below the bracts, and they are long, slender, and sessile, measuring about 12.0 mm in length. Their distal end is worm-like and features large nematocysts at the tip.Male and female gonodendra are found in pairs, alternating with gastrozooids at the base of the palpons.
