The body becomes flattened after the initial segments. The front edge of the head is divided into two distinct lobes. The antennae have a smooth surface. Gills can be found on the 25th to the 33rd feet. The setae are basic capillaries, each having very slender striated blades, and there are no comb-like setae. The acicula, which range in color from yellow to black, have straight and blunt ends. In contrast, the acicular setae are pale, bidentate, and only half as thick as the acicula. However, it’s worth noting that these acicular setae may not be present on all feet.
