The superomarginal plates have a shape resembling paxillae. The paxillae on the upper surface are densely clustered on the central disc and the midradial areas of the arms. You can find four to five bivalved pedicellariae on the edge of the oral plates and 8 to 10 pointed spinelets on the lower surface. Adjoining the furrow, there’s a single spine and on the opposite side, there are 5 to 6 larger subambulacral spines present on the plates. There is no anus or intestinal caeca in this species.
