Description:
Shell medium-sized, 45 mm length and 40 mm height, solid and inflated, inequilateral and equivalve with round outline. Umbo almost central and prominent. Anterior end slightly narrow. Surface smooth except for growth lines, Lunale distinct and heart-shaped Ligament deeply set. Externally shell creamish or greyish with dark brown chevrons or lines. On the interior shell white, smooth with a heterodont hinge, which consists of three cardinal teeth in each valve and one anterior lateral tooth in the left valve and two anterior laterals in the right valve. Posterior adductor muscle impression larger than the anterior one. Pallial sinus small.
