The laga is shaggy. The calcified thallus is composed of minuscule, one-millimeter-diameter cylindrical filaments that exhibit a strong dichotomous branch, causing them to split into two. Although rigid, the consistency is yet adaptable. The substratum’s base of attachment is discoidal. Its height is between 5 and 10 cm. It is white in color. The ends are pink to purplish, never red, and devoid of limestone.
