In the polygastric phase, the leading nectophore of Lensia leloupi takes on a broad pyramidal shape featuring five ridges. The dorsal and ventral ridges are complete, while the lateral ridges do not extend all the way to the ostium. The hydroecium is deeper, and the mouth-plates are elongated. The lateral-ventral facet is broadly triangular, and the apex of the nectosac is positioned near the apex of the nectophore. The mouth-plate is substantial, unsplit, and has a smooth perimeter.
