Description:
The ventro-basal area of the nectophore is elongated, reaching well below the ostium level. The somatocyst is either oval or globular, positioned below the ostium level, with a nearly vertical and ascending pedicular canal. The head-piece is twice as long as the neck-shield, and the neck-shield has a smooth distal margin. The hydroecium is very shallow, extending toward the mouth-plates. The mouth-plates are long, with greater overlap on the right than on the left. The mouth-plate is elongated with a notch in the mid-region. The female manubrium carries eggs.
