During the polygastric phase of Lensia campanella, the front nectophore exhibits distinctive features, including a bluntly twisted apex. There are five incomplete ridges, with the dorsal ridge being underdeveloped; the lateral and left ventral ridges extend from the base to near the apex. The hydroecium is nearly nonexistent, sloping at an angle of about 45°. The apex of the nectosac is partially twisted. The mouth-plates are quite small and separated into smaller sections.
