Description:
Bright yellow-green leaves. Leaf blades feature serrated edges and a distinct midvein skewed to one side. The rhizome has sharply pointed extremities and is cream colored, scaly, and rigid. Sharp silica crystals are embedded in the margin of the leaf. Near the plant’s base, the upper surface has hairs, but the bottom is typically hairless.
