Description:
Head is small and the long body is anteriorly slender. It has 5- 6 maxillary teeth behind fangs. Scales on the thickest part of the body are sub-quadrangular or hexagonal in shape, moderately imbricate and overlapping. Anterior part of the body, the head, and the neck are olive to black in colour with pale yellow oval patches on the sides. Posteriorly body becomes greyish and the undersides are whitish. There are 2 anterior temporals and 28-33 rows of body scales around the neck.
