Description:
The plants display a color that ranges from a muted purple to a reddish-brown, and they have a translucent, cartilaginous texture, making them extremely fragile. The central stem is compressed and gradually widens into a blade that can be as thick as 1 mm and as broad as 1 cm at the points of division. Over time, the central stem can branch up to five times within the same plane as the blade. It’s common for the edge of the blade to exhibit frequent growth or budding.
