Description:
Cartilaginous, turf-forming, with minute mollusks and shell fragments mixed in, growing from a broad creeping base. erect, flattened fronds that are 2–10 mm high, 0.5-2 mm width, and resemble leaves. Red that is purplish or blackish in hue.
