The crab has a grayish-brown carapace, with a light yellow major cheliped (claw) and grayish legs with light-colored claws. The carapace is narrow in front, and the lateral sides of the carapace are slightly converging. The major cheliped is three times as long as the carapace. The outer surfaces of the arm, wrist, and palm of the major cheliped are smooth to the naked eye. The fingers of the major cheliped are thin, broad, and blade-like.
