Description:
When pushed, the slightly calcified thallus appears subopposite to alternate, with percurated axes and a peniculate shape. smaller lateral branches, measuring 0.5 mm in diameter, and axes with a diameter of 1.5 mm, tapering to apices. In distant regions, assimilatory filaments are frequently unbranched, sparsely dichotomously branched, and curved. Hemispherical apical cell. Hairs and terminal granular cells are typical. Thallus as high as 11 cm. light pink to white in hue.
