Description:
The dorsal and anal fins have a short base and are positioned opposite each other, featuring 15–17 and 14–16 segmented soft rays respectively. Pectoral fins have 13–15 rays, while the pelvic fins are small and abdominal with 6 rays. The coloration is brownish to olive above and lighter to silvery below with a pair of blue stripes or a row of blue spots along the back. The dorsal and anal fins exhibit an orange color, becoming transparent at the base and the caudal filament is white.
