Description:
They possess 6 pectoral filaments with 45–49 pored lateral line scales, 5–7 scale rows above the lateral line and 9–11 scale rows below the lateral line. Regarding coloration, the body is green, dusky yellow, or brown above and silvery below, while the fins are yellow with black, especially at the margins and the pectoral fins are often predominantly black.
